LATEX CLOTHING CARE TIPS

Latex Care Guide (Condensed)

1. Clean Right After Wearing

  • Hand-wash inside out in cold/lukewarm water (≤30°C / 86°F)
  • Use mild soap, baby wash, or latex-specific cleaner only
  • Never: machine wash, hot water, detergent, dish soap, or bleach

2. Dry Naturally

  • Air dry flat on a towel or on a hanger, in a cool, ventilated area
  • Never: direct sunlight, dryers, heaters, or hair dryers (causes yellowing/brittleness)
  • Dry completely for 12–24 hours before storing

3. Polish for Shine

  • Use a silicone-based latex shiner (e.g., Vivishine, BeGloss)
  • Spray on a soft cloth → wipe evenly → buff with a dry cloth after ~5 minutes
  • Polish about once a week if worn 1–2×/week; light polish before storing

4. Store Properly

  • After fully dry, dust with talcum powder, cornstarch, or latex dressing powder to prevent sticking
  • Roll gently and keep in a dark, light-blocking bag, or hang in a cool wardrobe
  • Best conditions: 15–25°C (59–77°F), away from light, heat, and humidity
  • Never: place heavy objects on top or seal in airtight plastic bags (risk of mildew)

5. Dressing Tips

  • Apply a little powder or silicone dressing spray before wearing for easy slip-on
  • Avoid: oil-based lubricants, perfume, lotion, nail polish (damage latex)
  • Small tears: repair with latex glue and patches
  • Note: dark colors last longer; light/pink shades need more frequent polishing

Common Damage (3 Cases)

  1. Bubbles from high temperatures
  2. Damage from improper maintenance
  3. Garments stuck together after not being hung to air-dry
